On Saturday, July 20, 2019, the Master Program in Hospital Management (MMRS) of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya held a seminar entitled:

Developing New Clinic/Hospital in the National Health Insurance (JKN) Era

Is it profitable?

The event was held at the 6th Floor Auditorium in Building A, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya. Since 9 am, hundreds of participants enthusiastically participated in the event. Not only from Malang, a lot of participants are from other cities such as Jember, Banyuwangi, Tulungagung even came from Blora, Central Java.

Tito Haripradianto, ST., MT in the presentation of material on the strategy for the development of new clinics / hospitals in the National Health Insurance (JKN) era said that in the current era, Hospital is expected to have a master plan that will help facilitate all activities of nurses, doctors and patient and guest.

“Even though you don’t have the funds or the size of the building and land that is sufficient to directly build on a large scale, the hospital / clinic should have a master plan image in the future, how the hospital / clinic will be formed. Therefore, the development process will occur in directed manner. This master plan will be a guide for the development of hospitals / clinics in the future,” said Tito Haripradianto, ST., MT as the speaker.

The participants who were present also actively asked various things, one of which was the regulation of hospitals development. “I am becoming more aware about what administrative requirements I had to prepare before developing the hospital. One of the things I haven’t done yet is one of them regarding feasibility studies,” said one of the seminar participants.

“Feasibility study is an important component, because there are 3 aspects of the study in it, namely: study of service needs, study of resource requirements and financial studies. This is an important study that must be done before the Hospital operates,” said Dr. Nikma Fitriasari, MMRS when delivering material about Hospital Development Regulation.

Dr. dr. Tita Hariyanti, M.Kes as Chair of the MMRS Study Program as well as a speaker, also shared information and knowledge specifically related to the hospital / clinic marketing strategy. “We must be able to create an effective marketing strategy formula through positioning and differentiation for hospitals / clinics that we own. Be the First, Be the Best, Be Unique and communicate your hospital positioning effectively to the public. This is one of the marketing strategies that you must master,” she said.

The seminar occurs in lively manner with many question and answer sessions and was closed by giving certificates to the speakers. In the future this event will be a routine event held by MMRS Study Program in order to provide benefits and share knowledge to the entire general public, especially with regard to Hospital Management.
